Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Daniel Noble Awume, has stated that society as a whole must be accountable for the welfare of children and their future in order to teach them how to be responsible adults.

According to him, the society as a whole benefited from the way children were raised in the past, and such customs need to be reevaluated.

The Hohoe Municipal Child Protection Committee was established by Mr. Awume, who stated that it was suitable and that the committee's makeup would contribute to protecting the welfare of children.

In order to coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Justice for Children Policy and the Child and Family Welfare Policy in the Municipality, the committee was formed to function as a committee for child protection.

According to him, parents must work with organizations like the police that safeguard the wellbeing of children.

Mr. Awume lamented the involvement of kids in crime and urged that parents, despite the difficulties, must teach their kids to not become a burden on society.

He urged youngsters to obey the law and prioritize their studies.

He declared that the Assembly was dedicated to helping the Committee function well.

The Volta Regional Director of the Department of Children, Mr. Israel Akrobortu, promised that the Committee would be informed of the details of the Child and Family Welfare policy.

He said that the Committee would safeguard children's welfare and that this issue could not be handled by just one organization.

Mr. Akrobortu added that people who occasionally subject children to mental and physical abuse do not know and need to be made aware

.

The Policy, according to him, was crucial because it examined the child in the context of the family.

Traditional authority, religious institutions, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), and the Ghana Immigration Service are a few of the organizations represented on the Committee.
The Department got assistance.
