The Volta Region's Kpando Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), Mrs. Della Adwoa Sowah, has offered encouragement to her constituents taking the current Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
In a greeting to the candidates, the MP—who is also a former deputy minister for gender, children, and social protection—prayed to God for good fortune for this year's BECE candidates.
"I want to use this occasion to wish luck to the young people in my constituency who have begun taking their BECE examinations as of Monday, October 17, 2022. I ask that the All-Powerful God support your success. I'm grateful. Hon. Adwoa Sowah is your MP, she remarked.
The female MP took advantage of the chance to caution the applicants against engaging in test misconduct that may land them in legal trouble.
She urged the children to learn all their professors had told them about.
She warned against bringing foreign materials to the test room, saying, "I am urging you to learn all the educational materials given to you by your professors since what they are going to meet were the things they had been taught in their courses by their teachers."
She said, "Never trust any teacher or middleman to provide you any phony material that you would use in the test room and get you into problems with.
She urged the pupils to work hard in class to get the greatest possible exam marks and to never give up on their dreams.
We pray for God's blessings on the candidates before, during, and after the exam and wish them luck in their exams, she reaffirmed.
The 2022 BECE will be taken by 552,276 students from 18,501 junior high schools across the nation.
