On Thursday, October 20, 2022, credit unions throughout the world will observe International Credit Union (ICU) Day to recognize the contribution financial cooperatives have made to improving the standard of living for their members.
The purpose of the day is to consider the history of the credit union movement, highlight its accomplishments, pay tribute to the labor of love, and share member stories.
"Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union" is the celebration's theme for this year.
The purpose of International Credit Union Day, which was established in 1948 and will be celebrated for the 74th time this year, is to increase awareness of the services that credit unions provide and provide members the chance to get more involved.
